Following various government announcements, the Alsatian pharmaceutical company Toda Pharma is stepping up efforts to meet the surge in demand. By constructing an additional temporary facility and hiring numerous temporary workers, the company plans to triple its production for the month of January.

Based in Strasbourg, the French laboratory Toda Pharma has been offering, since 2020, in addition to serological and antigen tests, a COVID-19 nasal self-test, which, according to a comparative study by the Paul Ehrlich Institute and six national institutes commissioned by the German Ministry of Health,
Subject to strict quality control and the subject of several feasibility studies guaranteeing clinical performance on par with antigen tests, it is also suitable for use in children aged 6 and older.
In recent weeks, with the surge in COVID-19 cases and government announcements, we have had to anticipate new orders. We have therefore scaled up our production capacity to prevent potential shortages while maintaining the quality of our products, which will be crucial in the coming weeks as we fight the pandemic. We have also optimized the ergonomics of our products to make them as easy to use as possible, ensuring they offer the same level of reliability for individuals as they do when used by healthcare professionals.
