1. How do multi-parameter urine test strips work?

These strips are devices designed to rapidly detect multiple urinary parameters from a single sample. They operate on a simple principle of chemical reaction between integrated reagents and components present in the urine.

Each strip consists of a rigid plastic support onto which multiple reactive pads are affixed. Each pad is specific to an analyte (glucose, proteins, ketones, leukocytes, etc.). When immersed in urine, each pad changes color based on the presence and concentration of the corresponding parameter.

These color changes are interpreted visually (with the naked eye) using a color chart printed on the packaging or via a specific reader.

Yes, certain medications, dietary supplements, or foods can influence the results (e.g., vitamin C, certain antibiotics). Refer to the user guide for a complete list of possible interferences.

If one or more parameters are abnormal, consult a physician for further testing and an accurate diagnosis. Test strips are a screening tool, not a definitive diagnosis.
